Truthwitch Book Tag

OH MY GOD I HAVEN’T DONE A TAG OR CHALLENGE IN LITERALLY LIKE A YEAR

HEEERE WE GOOO

*ayo starts playing*

Ohrin Mountains- What is your favourite fictional land?

Westeros. If you read my last post you know I’ve been obsessing over Game of Thrones lately, and IT’S JUST SO INTERESTING EVEN THO THIS IS CHEATING BC I ONLY WATCHED THE SERIES BUT THEY ARE BOOKS SO

Safiya and Iseult’s Friendship- Who is your favourite dynamic duo?

Is this really a question? Who else?

Merik- Which character is the ultimate hunk?

Four, from Divergent. Tris’ vajayjay always semeed to explode around him. Same goes for the fangirls over Theo James.

Kullen- Who is your favourite sidekick?

A tough one… Sidekicks are a tricky business. I would say the Colonel, Miles’ sidekick in Looking for Alaska, was pretty cool.

Aeduan- Who is your favourite mysterious or villainous character?

Jaqen  H’gar from Game of Thrones. I still have no idea just what he is. GoT in general is full of mysterious characters that I’m really excited to dive into as I read the books.

Aether- A book that you can’t stop thinking about?

Back when I read 13 Reasons Why, it clung to my mind for days and days. To be truthful, I don’t remember much of the actual story, I just remember the emotions it sent me through. The TV show is coming out soon and I can’t wait to rediscover the story.

Air- A book that you had low expectations for that completely blew you away?

I have to say Game of Thrones again! I resisted reading this book for ages. My best friend tried to force me but I just could not swallow it. But I gave the show a try, and I was BLOWN. AWAY. And I’m still obsessing over this masterpiece. I’m currently reading and thoroughly enjoying the first book!

Earth- A book that you always go back to?

I’m pretty sure this one’s universal – Harry Goddayum Potter. It feels like more people have reread the books than those who have read it only once.

Fire- A book where the hype spread quickly?

I’ve never heard of a book that got more hype in recent years than Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Many loved it, many hated it, but everyone was talking about it. It was the sequel to a literary phenomenon.

Void- Recommend a scary/mysterious read.

Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series. (A.K.A J.K. Rowling’s under cover follow up series to Harry Potter). I can only vouch for the first book, the Cuckoo’s Calling, but I’m certain the follow up books are equally as dark, funny, intriguing, creepy, clever and mysterious as this one. It’s such a departure from the magical saga, but it’s no less captivating. A good mystery is one where you find yourself interested in the backstories, not just the identity of the murderer.

Water- Name a book that flowed nicely.

I can’t remember a book flowing as nice as the Philosopher’s stone. There are just no dead moments. Everything was interesting. We didn’t have a prior idea of where the story might take us. There was a steady buildup of events leading up to the ultimate face off. It really is such a well written book. Children literature was SHOOK.

Threadsisters and Threadbrothers- Tag your friends!

I don’t have the nerve to tag anybody since I haven’t been blogging for a long while. Anyone who comes through this, please feel free to do the tag and consider yourself nominated (like I did)!

I have some pretty exciting updates. Really can’t wait to share them 😀 hopefully see you soon!

Going to snatch some books!

So, WHOOW
There’s a book sale today (the infamous Bookyard I’ve talked about like 100 times here) and I’m about to go and see what I can find! Super excited.
I’ll fill you in with a bookhaul in a few hours!
Also YAAAAASSSSSS THE NEXT FOUR DAYS ARE SCHOOL FREE WOOOOOOOOOO
Bbyee

iReview: 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Ya know what? Fuck the maths exams. I’m doing this.

image

As I mentioned in my last post, last week, I read Thirteen Reasons Why. I had bought it at the previous Bookyard and I couldn’t wait to finally read it. I dropped Adultery because it was downright boring and started it.

I was immediately sucked in. A dead girl sending cassettes to those who made her take her own life? GEEZ!

It was really such an original concept, the kind that just makes you want to find out more. Instead of chapters, each part of the book was a different side of the cassettes. I mean even if the story was a horrible mess, I think I’d have read it.

The good thing was, the story was not at all a horrible mess.

It talks about a teenager, Clay Jensen, who one day found a box of cassette tapes on his doorstep, numbered 1 to 13, with no explicit instructions. He popped the tape numbered “1” into the player, and was welcomed by the voice of Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush, who had commited suicide two weeks ago. She said that there are 13 reasons why she killed herself, and if he listened through all of the tapes he’d find out where his part in her story comes. He then will have to mail the tapes to the person who follows in the story, just like the person who preceded mailed them to him.

Clay then embarks on a journey, wandering through town, following a map Hannah had left him before her death marking all the ‘hot spots’ in her story, while listening to every tape and learning more and more about why the girl he once loved decided to take her own life.

This book was by far one of the best I’ve read in a while. The story is unbelievably compelling. I could literally not put it down. During the two days it took me to finish it, I had rehearsals for a show the school was putting up. The book was constantly with me and I read as much as I could between every break, so much I wanted to know what happened next. If you’re looking for a thrilling read, definitely pick it up.

And the message. God. It will make you rethink the whole way you treat everyone around you. Everything you do, every little thing you think is insignificant, can change someone else’s life forever. And this is not forever in the exaggerated sense, which I totally despise, but in the literal one. As in, that person could die, and they’ll stay dead forever.

Hannah’s reasons, taken apart individually, might seem like everyday life issues to some. “Not worthy of suicide”. But put together, they really tell a heart-wrenching story that has happened countless times before and is happening right now.

Each and every one of us could be Hannah. Everything that happened to Hannah wasn’t a product of special circumstances. These are things that happen in our every day life, that we often overlook. Spreading a stupid rumor. Throwing a hurtful joke. Rating people on their appearance. Using someone for your own benefit. (Along with many other things I will not mention to avoid any spoilers)

Reading this book will make you open your eyes and notice all the small details, and all the people affected by them. And you will know what to do about it.

And if you’re on the other side of the road, if you’re relating to Hannah, it will make you realize that you are not alone. You’re never alone. And you’ll always find someone who cares.

The last couple of chapters made me very emotional. And the author couldn’t have gone with a better ending to get the true message through.

In the subsequent few days, I found myself inexplicably sad. But it was a good kind of sad. You know it, the beautiful kind of sadness, that you don’t want to let go, that makes you want to cry while listening to Lana Del Rey and looking at old pictures.

That’s how that book made me feel. And I BEG you, if you have read any books that made you feel the same way, PLEASE recommend them to me. Because I’m craving that feeling.

Finally, this book should be a must read. Everyone can benefit from it, and I’m going to lend it to as many friends as I can. Jay Asher did a beautiful job, and it’s a shame he doesn’t have a lot more novels to his name. I recommend this for all of you, and I hope this novel will strike all the chords it struck with me.

Rating: 5/5.

12 Collabs of Christmas – DAY #5 – Instrumental Book Tag! (Ft. Keira)

Hello!
For today I’m going to be posting a tag that I have came up with, together with Keira (and it was mostly her effort), which is the Instrumental Book Tag. We have been planning a collab for months but I saved it for this project, which is awesome!

The tag is simple, there are different instruments and each is associated with a different type of book. The usual book tag 🙂 it was quite fun to prepare.
So here it is:
_____________________________

image

image

Keira’s answers are pink

My answers are green

Hope we’ll keep you reading off the screen 🙂

Piano- a classic you love

Watership Down by Richard Adams. Or The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge. I honestly have a really difficult time choosing between them. But if I had to, it would be Watership Down, just based on how many times I’ve read it. It is heartwarming, thrilling and an interesting perspective (I mean, the main character is a rabbit).
image

I consider Harry Potter a classic, no matter what you have to say (whoops). So obviously that. But if I had to chose a ‘classic’ classic, it’ll be Les Misérables by Victor Hugo.

Keyboard- a retelling of a famous story

The Princess Curse by Merrie Haskell. It is a retelling of a lot of different fairy tales: The Twelve Dancing Princesses and Persephone being the most obvious. This is a standalone but I wish it weren’t- I want to read more about these characters!!!!!

I DON’T KNOW!! What does this mean?! I don’t know any retellings!

OHH! Can I pick Miranda Sings’ retelling of the Story of Christmas? If anything’s the best, it’s that.

Guitar- a popular book you love
Well, this is an obvious one: Harry Potter. Enough said.

Since that’s the obvious answer, I’ll try to think of something else.

That was not easy.

The Fault in Our Stars I guess?
image

Cello- a book that gave you chills

So many! Let’s go with Stolen by Lucy Christopher- chills in the good way. I was sobbing for ages afterwards.

THE PERFECTIONISTS SERIES BY SARA SHEPARD

It’s honestly THE best. And it freaked the freak out of me.

Voice- a book with a unique writing style

The Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. When a book has things crossed out, it is obviously unique.
image

According to someone (winkwink), it’s A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I haven’t read it yet but I’ve seen a couple of pages and it really is unique.

Triangle- a book that you don’t like to mention reading

Um…. well, maybe Twilight. But only because people are so judgmental! Sure, they are not the best books (the main series I don’t particularly like, but the new gender-flipped one I liked a lot more) but judging others based on a book is just stupid.
First of all, why Triangle?! Oh wait it’s my tag whoops.

I don’t think I’ve read many embarrassing books. Maybe in mychildhood? Yeah, that’s probably it. I used to read girl magazines like WITCH because there literally were no magazines for boys except comics. I also read kids books.
image

______________________

So that was our tag! Hope you enjoyed it 😀 this is just the first part (as with most of the collabs in this project), so expect part 2 on Keira’s blog sometime soon!

I tag all music and book lovers to do this tag. Have fun!

12 Collabs of Christmas – DAY #3 – Character Christmas List Tag! (Ft. Bianca @ The Ultimate Fangirl)

Hello!
Today’s collab is with awesome blogger Bianca @ The Ultimate Fangirl.
We came up with a very cute Christmasy tag: The Character Christmas List Tag!

image

Basically, you just pick 10 random characters from any book/movie/show, and you try to figure out what on earth they’d want for Christmas 😉
Let’s get started!
__________________________

image

Here are the characters for today!

Albus Dumbledore
Primrose Everdeen
The Countess from American Horror Story
Madonna
Margo from Paper Towns
J.K. Rowling
Marcus Eaton from Divergent
Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory
Teddy Lupin

Bianca’s answers are red,

My answers are blue;

Chocolate ice cream looks like poo.

Albus Dumbledore
Knowing that Albus Dumbledore is practically one of the greatest wizards ever, you may think that it is hard to get him a gift. But no, he’s actually easier to give a gift to. Like bookworms, Dumbledore seems like the kind of person who would enjoy a certain scented candle. Specifically, scrolls and caramel.

Dumbledore… I just wanna give him the link to my blog. IMAGINE DUMBLEDORE READING MY BLOG. I feel like he’d get it. I know that’s kinda selfish but who cares he has enough already.
Primrose Everdeen
– I have not yet dived deep into the world of Hunger Games, because I DNFed Mockingjay. I even boycotted Catching Fire and both of the Mockingjay films. But also knowing that Primrose is a sweet character, I would give her an origami box set, and fold one rose for her, just to keep the pace.

Primrose stays alone with her mom while Katniss is away killing people so she must have some guidance. Therefor, I’d give her a few books: first of all, a cookbook. Second, Selp-Helf by Miranda obviously, so she knows how to deal with life. Finally, Matilda by Roald Dahl, for light reading.

The Countess from AHS:

YASSSS GAGA YASS U LOOK SO FAB

I think I’d give her a bunch of little black cats she can strut around with. And some blood-flavored popsicles from honeydukes, because obvs.

Madonna

A RETIREMENT CERTIFICATE

CRUTCHES

SHAMPOO

AND BORN THIS WAY
Margo from Paper Towns
– It would be so fun to give Margo a world map that could fill her entire room and a lifetime supply of darts. It gives her the thrill to go to the place where the dart landed. Even if I am not a fan of her personality, seeing her giving my present a go will be the best gift ever. And if she gives me the same thing, we’ll practically be BFF’s despite our clashing personalities.

What would I give to this girl? I didn’t really like her much either. I guess I’d give her the Harry Potter books, so she can still escape into new territories without having to make an entire book about it.
J.K. Rowling
– The Queen practically has everything. I don’t even know if I could give anything to her. Maybe one of my fanart attempts and my Harry-Hermione fanfiction? I love her so much.

Selfishness strikes again, so I’m giving her my blog to read too. Also, all my social media accounts to follow. And all her books to sign. Wait, this isn’t how this works.

Marcus Eaton from Divergent

A peaceful childhood and a cotton belt for good measure. Oh and cancer.
Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory
– Napkins signed by the entire Star Trek cast, if that’s even possible. I’ll do him the favor of putting it in a frame that will display the each individual signature. I’ll probably one-up Penny and have Sheldon kiss me. And shower me with books.

A hot beverage, after what that bitch did to him. And a hug. And t-shirts with different flags for every day of the year.
Teddy Lupin
– A custom-made werewolf that has hair that differs in color. No, it’s not sad. *Insert feels here* I cannot further explain my present to Teddy. I think it deserves its own blog post.

-Teddy… I’d give him a box full of chocolates. For the dementors. FEELS.

So that was it for today! Hope you enjoyed our tag, we sure had fun creating and doing it 😀

I have no energy to tag people now but I promise I’ll do it sometime soon. Goodnight!

SELP HELF BY MIRANDA SINGS! (iReview Special)

ASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKL

I’M OFFICIALLY DEAD.

IT’S HERE!!!!1!1!11@1!

image

LOOK HOW PERFECT IT IS (〒︿〒)

Ever since I heard the news that Miranda would be releasing a book about half a year ago, I have been dreaming of the moment when I finally lay hands upon this splendid piece of art.

It was released in July, around my birthday. I was secretly hoping I would get it as a gift, but it wasn’t even available in my country at that time.

I kept checking with the (only) local bookshop and they still didn’t have it in stock… Until one glorious day! But the price was fucking 25$. I could not bring myself to pay that sum, because 1) I really don’t have that much money to spare and 2) I knew that this wasn’t the final price because it’s just been released and also I doubt anyone from here watches Miranda, let alone be ready to pay for her book.

I was actually right: I checked a few weeks ago and it had went down to 20$. For some reason I thought it was much more affordable and reasonable than 25$.

I decided that I was going to wait until the Bookyard (a monthly event where book nerds exchange/buy/sell books that I’ve talked about in my last post), make some money and buy it. Unfortunately, the Bookyard got postponed for 3 weeks later.

At first I was like meh okay. But, as I was once sitting and doing nothing, an unexplicable impulse seized me and I just felt the need to own that book in the very moment. I didn’t try to stop myself – usually in these situations I like to see how far I’m willing to go.

I dialled the bookstore and said ‘Hi. I want Selp-Helf by Miranda Sings.’

‘Self help?’

‘Um no… Selp Helf… They’re like the letters they are scrambled in the end like… It’s a um kinda humor book… Do you have it?’

At that point, the effects of my crazy-impulsive-moment had completely worn off and were replaced by utter embarassment.

‘Yep, we found it in our catalogue.’

‘Really?!’ I was submerged by relief. I’m not crazy, yay!

I ordered the book and they told me they’d call me on the following Monday if it came.

Once it was Monday, I immediately went to the store after school without them calling me. I was right to do so, because it had come!

I was so emotional. The moment I saw the book I felt such a wave of joy, and also a huge need to burst out laughing. I was grinning without even meaning to, and as I paid for my book I could tell from the workers’ amused smirks at the shop that they were thinking what the fuck is wrong with this kid. I was in no position to care, though.

I got out of the store holding the book like a new born, and got in the car. My mom told me to show her what I got, and I showed her, and she was like ‘*gasp* don’t tell me it’s that stupid girl you watch!’ And I was like ‘yeah’ and she was like ‘shit’ (just kidding, but she must have thought it).

As soon as I got home, I… Wait, I’ll let you guess:

a) Started reading the book like there’s no tomorrow

b) Displayed the book on a high shelf and let it rest there till I have time to read

c) Started taking selfies with the book like any normal person would do

I’m normal, so I chose (c)

Out of all the pictures I had fun taking, this one is the least embarrassing, and still I’m sure I’ll regret posting it a few seconds later:

image
Lol at me trying to pull off a Miranda expression while still not looking like a crazy psycho

Then I started reading.

JUST KIDDING! I wasn’t gonna do that yet because I’m not a basic bitch, so I took the book (rhymes lolz) on a house tour. I’ll post some of our most memorable and captivating moments sometime later because my internet decided to be shitty and not upload my photos.

For real now, after that I had to start reading.

I had one fear: that I’d finish the whole thing in one sitting!

The book is 240 pages long, but the writing in it covers about 40. I’m not complaining, because the pictures make it even better and miranda-like, but I didn’t want it to just end like that! So I gave myself the rule of not reading more than 20-30 pages per day.

That was a hard task, because the book just FORCES you to turn the pages. IT’S SO ENTERTAINING!

ESPECIALLY that, as you may or may not know, I had no phone for the two weeks following my purchase of the book, so I literally had nothing else to entertain myself with.
The book really is hilarious. I respected my limit (sometimes going just a tiny bit over), and I still enjoyed it a lot. I feel like I finished it at the perfect moment, because it was just after the Bookyard, so I had other books to be excited about (ugh I can’t wait to show you).

I think I will be posting some of the funniest pages sometime in the future, when I (inevitably) reread it.

I recommend this book to every Miranda fan out there, obviously, and also to people who appreciate dark silly humor and are patient and kind enough for Miranda and her life-changing advice. If you don’t take no bullshit from no one and have no time for this type of things, don’t bother because it’s not for you.

Finally, I give this book 5 out of 5 lisstiks 💋💋💋💋💋

HATERZ BACKOFF!

Harry Potter as Seen by my Little Sister! Book 1 – Part 2 –

Hey guys! This is the second part of the first installment of Potterviewster. Without further ado, here it is!

Let’s fast forward to the end of the book. What happened in the end of the year?

With the Philosopher’s Stone?

Yes.

They go on an adventure to find it so that Dumbled – sorry I mean Voldemort – (*wtf how could she mistake the two*) doesn’t find it first and come back to life. They went through many levels and stages. First they had to make the big dog sleep, then there was a chess room, and then they got to the final room and they found Quirrell.

Who was he?

Their teacher.

So Quirrell wanted the Stone?

Yes.

And did they suspect that it was him who was looking for it?

No, they always thought it was Snape.

Who’s Snape?

[Other Sis] Some guy.

[Me] Stop acting like this omg you’re so jealous and butthurt

[Other Sis] Pff no I’m not if I wanted to read the books I would have I just don’t want to (*deniaaal*)

[Me] Ok no one asked you

[Lil Sis] He was the Potion teacher.

And did he like Harry?

Pf no.

Why?

Because… I think that’s in the third book… Harry’s father made a prank on Snape and he has a grudge…

No just tell me what you know in this book.

But it’s all in the third book!

No Dumbledore tells Harry when he’s in the hospital – nevermind. Did you like Snape?

No.

Even at the end when he turned out to have been helping and saving Harry?

Well I like that he saved him but he was still mean.

So back to Quirrel – why did he want the stone?

Because he wanted to give it to Voldemort and Voldemort was actually on the other side of his head and it was so scary…

Who’s Voldemort?

He’s the bad guy. He’s evil and he killed Harry’s parents that’s why he doesn’t have parents. And now he wants to kill Harry because the last time he killed him it didn’t even work and he killed himslef instead because Harry’s mother protected him but he didn’t die too much but he became very weak.

Enough. Did he get the stone?

No because Harry stopped him.

So who found the Stone?

Harry and Quirrel…

No who like found it.

Oh, Harry.

How?

There was this mirror that shows what you really really want and Harry saw himself find the stone so he knew where the stone was hidden.

About that mirror – what did it show Harry before, like before that day?

It showed him his family because he had never even seen them! They were all dead. And it showed Ron himself with the Quidditch thing that he won. And it showed Dumbledore with warm socks but Harry didn’t believe him very much.

If that mirror existed, would you look at it?

Yes!

[Other Sis] No

*ignore* Really? All the time?

Um, no.

Why?

Um…

[Other Sis] We shouldn’t live in dreams – “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live”.

[Me] I TOLD YOU TO SHUT UP SO SHUT UP! *although impressed by her remembering the quote* *oh wait yeah I gave it to her so she can put it as a Whatsapp status*

[Lil Sis] Yeah what she said.

Fine.

Now onto other questions – who was your favorite character from this book?

You already asked me and I told you Hermione.

No I mean from the whole book not just the trio.

Hermione.

Why?

*no response*

Okay who’s your least favorite character?

Drago (no, this isn’t a mistake, that’s his french name. I feel like I’m being a snob with all my french names but that’s the language my sister read the books in).

Who was he?

Harry’s enemy because Drago asked him to be friends with him instead of Hermione and Ron but Harry didn’t accept so they became enemies.

Who do you think is the funniest character?

Hmm… Who was funny… Oh Fred and George.

What was your favorite moment in the book?
When Hermione acts like a know-it-all.

[Other Sis] *laughs*

Like when?

Like in the train when she comes to look for Neville’s frog but she finds Ron doing a wrong spell and she shows him how to do real magic and she fixes Harry’s glasses –

No that wasn’t in this book…

Yes it was at least in the movies.

Oh yeah right. And what was your least favorite part?

When Harry got his letter the first time but uncle Vernon didn’t let him read it and he kept destroying the letters…

Me too! It made me so frustrated the first time I read the books I hated Vernon so much… Anyway. Do you think you might reread the books on the future?

Well, after I finish those I’ll have loads of other books to read… But I guess if I feel like I want to read them again I will.

What do you recommend people who have watched the movies but haven’t read the books?

I would tell them to read the books *stares at Other Sis who grunts* because there are a lot of details that you don’t see in the movies and they’re great. And also you get more surprised by the events in the book if you haven’t watched the movies… But also you get surprised while you watch the movie because it’s in front of you… I don’t know…

Okay but the point is that they should read the books.

Yes.

Good. And your sister should read them.

Yes.

Good. *another grunt from Other Sis*

So these were all the questions I had for you from the first book, thanks for doing the interview!

*stares* Can I go now?

Meh.

~*~*~

And that concludes our interview about the first book! Hope you liked it!

I’m currently working on the second book interview while my sister is finishing the fourth book.

She better hurry up.

Harry Potter as Seen by my Little Sister! Book 1 – Part 1 –

Alright! So this the first installment of Potterviewster!

For those of you who haven’t read my previous post, this is me asking my little sister questions about the Harry Potter books which she’s currently reading.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Hi, thank you for doing this-

Let’s get this over with.

Got it. When did you read the 1st book?

What made you read them?

You.

I made you? Like forced you?

No but you were always reading them and telling us we should read them too and not watch the last movies to avoid spoilers.

So you eventually read the books.

Yes.

And did your sister read the books?

She just read like the first two pages.

[Other sister: What? Shut up I read half of the first one almost probably]

And why didn’t she continue?

Because my sister doesn’t like reading and she *interruption* [Other sister: can you stop talking about me I thought this was your interview]

*ignoring second sister* So tell me what you remember about the first book.

What?

What do you remember about the first book?

What?? (She seemed to have become hearing impaired somehow)

[Me+Other Sister] WHAT. DO. YOU. REMEMBER. FROM. THE. FIRST. BOOK.

Oh. Harry used to live with his aunt… What’s her name… Petunia and… Vernon and their son Dudley and they hated him because his mother and father were wizards.

Whow there you’re getting ahead he didn’t even know they were wizards yet.

But they knew.

Good point. Proceed.

So his mother and father were wizards…

What were their names?

Um… Lily and… And…

YOU DON’T KNOW HIS FATHER’S NAME?!

[Other Sister] James.

[Lil Sister] Shut up this is my interview I talk you shut up okay so shut up. His name was James.

Okay got it.

And his aunt and uncle were treating him badly and they kept him at home and also they gave him Dudley’s old school uniform!

And then…

Then…?

Then what happens?

What happens?

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IN THE STORY?

Oh. Then the letters start arriving. But his uncle doesn’t let him read them.

Why?

Because they say that he’s a wizard and should go to a magic school and they don’t want him to know it. And then letters keep coming so his uncle goes mad and takes them to a house in the sea but it doesn’t matter because Hagrid comes and gives Harry a birthday cake because it was his birthday and tells Harry he is a wizard and gives him the letter and turns Dudley into a pig because he started eating the cake – wait no – he wanted to turn him into a pig but he could only give him a pigtail because he looked already like a pig.

Did you like Hagrid?

Yes.

Why?

Because he was cute.

Cute?

Yes but he was expelled.

Yeah but you don’t know this until the second book.

I know but just saying.

So he got his letter and then what happened?

He went to Poudlard (Hogwarts in French) and made friends – Hermione and um Ron.

Which one of his friends did you like better?

Hermione.

Why?

Because she’s sassy. And also smart.

Do you think you’re like her?

[Other Sis] No

[Lil Sis] Well not really but you seem to think we look alike

Not in the appearence, like, her personality...

[Other Sis] No

[Lil Sis] Oh, maybe… I think I’m clever like her

[Other Sis] No

[Lil Sis] And we like books…

*suddenly we hear fireworks and we interrupt the interview to go look at them*

*we are back*

What else was there at Hogwarts?

There was Quidditch.

Did you like Quidditch?

Oh yes.

Would you play it?

No because it’s dangerous and also the rules are weird.

Can you explain them?

There are 4 balls. A small one that flies and you should catch – what is it called again?

[Other Sis] Flying Ball?

[Lil Sis] Oh yeah it’s the Vif d’Or (French for Snitch). And there’s two Cognards (Bludgers) that try to hurt the players and there’s the big ball that’s called… I forgot…

*we pause the interview to look it up because I myself had forgotten the French name for Quaffle*

Right, it’s the Souafle. And they try to score with it and the team with most points win.

Okay. Let’s fast forward to the end of the book. What happened in the end of the year?

With the Philosopher’s Stone?

Yes.

So this was the first part of our first book interview! The rest will come out sometime soon.

Did you enjoy it? Should I continue with the other books? Should I stop? Should I go hang myslef? Should I stop blabbing?

Lemme know.
