Truthwitch Book Tag

*ayo starts playing*

Ohrin Mountains- What is your favourite fictional land?

Westeros. If you read my last post you know I’ve been obsessing over Game of Thrones lately, and IT’S JUST SO INTERESTING EVEN THO THIS IS CHEATING BC I ONLY WATCHED THE SERIES BUT THEY ARE BOOKS SO

Safiya and Iseult’s Friendship- Who is your favourite dynamic duo?

Is this really a question? Who else?

Merik- Which character is the ultimate hunk?

Four, from Divergent. Tris’ vajayjay always semeed to explode around him. Same goes for the fangirls over Theo James.

Kullen- Who is your favourite sidekick?

A tough one… Sidekicks are a tricky business. I would say the Colonel, Miles’ sidekick in Looking for Alaska, was pretty cool.

Aeduan- Who is your favourite mysterious or villainous character?

Jaqen  H’gar from Game of Thrones. I still have no idea just what he is. GoT in general is full of mysterious characters that I’m really excited to dive into as I read the books.

Aether- A book that you can’t stop thinking about?

Back when I read 13 Reasons Why, it clung to my mind for days and days. To be truthful, I don’t remember much of the actual story, I just remember the emotions it sent me through. The TV show is coming out soon and I can’t wait to rediscover the story.

Air- A book that you had low expectations for that completely blew you away?

I have to say Game of Thrones again! I resisted reading this book for ages. My best friend tried to force me but I just could not swallow it. But I gave the show a try, and I was BLOWN. AWAY. And I’m still obsessing over this masterpiece. I’m currently reading and thoroughly enjoying the first book!

Earth- A book that you always go back to?

I’m pretty sure this one’s universal – Harry Goddayum Potter. It feels like more people have reread the books than those who have read it only once.

Fire- A book where the hype spread quickly?

I’ve never heard of a book that got more hype in recent years than Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Many loved it, many hated it, but everyone was talking about it. It was the sequel to a literary phenomenon.

Void- Recommend a scary/mysterious read.

Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series. (A.K.A J.K. Rowling’s under cover follow up series to Harry Potter). I can only vouch for the first book, the Cuckoo’s Calling, but I’m certain the follow up books are equally as dark, funny, intriguing, creepy, clever and mysterious as this one. It’s such a departure from the magical saga, but it’s no less captivating. A good mystery is one where you find yourself interested in the backstories, not just the identity of the murderer.

Water- Name a book that flowed nicely.

I can’t remember a book flowing as nice as the Philosopher’s stone. There are just no dead moments. Everything was interesting. We didn’t have a prior idea of where the story might take us. There was a steady buildup of events leading up to the ultimate face off. It really is such a well written book. Children literature was SHOOK.

Threadsisters and Threadbrothers- Tag your friends!

I don’t have the nerve to tag anybody since I haven’t been blogging for a long while. Anyone who comes through this, please feel free to do the tag and consider yourself nominated (like I did)!

I have some pretty exciting updates. Really can’t wait to share them 😀 hopefully see you soon!

The School Book Tag!

Hello! The lovely Bella nominated me for the School Book Tag, and I thought it would be a nice breath of fresh air to do this amidst studying for a physics test ^^

The Rules:

Mention the creator of the tag.

Chloe hai guuuurl

Thank the person who nominated you.

This doesn’t need to be a rule at all! It goes without saying, thank you so much Bella for thinking about me ^^

Answer the following with the book that most fits the statement.

Paper Towns- John Green

This was a really difficult one to pick. I don’t feel like there are many books where two characters just clicked together. The closest thing is Harry Potter, but that’s a rare exception because EVERYONE blends well together and complement each other. You couldn’t single out just two people.
So I thought for this one I’d pick Paper Towns, because what’s special about it is that Margo and Quentin, taken separately, aren’t really likeable and interesting in my eyes. But the two of them together, especially in the first part of the book, complement each other really well.

Selp Helf by Miranda

I mean… Do I really need an explanation for this? It’s the most obvious answer. The most perfect creature on earth basically giving you a free coupon for winning life in every aspect. Okay, it’s more of a 19.99$ coupon but it’s basically nothing when you consider all the things it brings you.

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

This book captivated me in all the right ways. I could not put it down – in bed, in class, even between breaks during my theater practice! I have rush-read books before but it just didn’t feel the same because both were on digital format (I’m talking about Insurgent and The Good Girls – both great compelling books). I read it so quickly, not for the sake of fast reading, but because I enjoyed every second of it.

The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling – Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez

I had fun picking this one because every book I think of, a playlist forms in my mind. Every single book has a musical connection. But I picked this one solely because of the theme similarities. Now I still haven’t read this book, I’m looking forward to it in the summer, but it talks about a town that looks pristine from the outside but is rotten and corrupted from the inside – exactly what Dollhouse is about, but with families.

Nominate 3 others to do the tag.

I nominate mahjabeen, GeorgieGrl and lissndani.

12 Collabs of Christmas – DAY #8 – The Best Friend Tag! (Ft. Lily)

Hello! Today’s collab is something quite different, indeed I am doing it with one of my best friends (and the only person I have told about my blog – except for my other best friend who thinks blogging is lame; and it’s really his loss because now he doesn’t get to be featured here. Tant pis pour toi.)

So I call her Lily and I wanted to do a post with her since ages; now I have the chance! Yay! She’s the third person I know that have been featured on my blog, the first two being my sister.

Also, this is even more special because this will be my 100th post! I’m SO excited. I never thought I’d achieve this, but I did! Ugh, I love my blog.

With no further blabbing, here is our collab, the Best Friends Tag 🙂 here we go!

My answers are black

Lily’s are purple

I’m tired and can’t find a rhyme

1. How and when did we meet?

Me: we went to the same school our whole lives. But we were never in the same class and we only really met in seventh grade, that’s when we started being friends.

Lily: We’ve been in the same class since grade 7. But in grade 9 we sat next to each other for a few months and we became really close.

2. What are your favourite memories together?

Me: we’re very ‘conservative’ friends, in the way that we’re not the type that hangs out all the time and does crazy stuff. One of my favorite memories was on a spiritual retreat our school took us on, we just spent the day together and it was very nice. I don’t know why this memory sticks out, but I guess it’s because back then I was just starting to make friends and it had been long since I spent a day with someone.

L: That same spiritual retreat 💓

3. Describe each other in one word.

Me: Special.

L: Gentle (lol thx?)

4. What’s your best friend’s dream job?

Me: her life’s dream is to become doctor. I really hope that happens! I don’t doubt it either, because she’s passionate about biology, and I know she’s going to make it.

L: He loves being an author. I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be a great one because of his passion for writing and literature.

5. What’s your best friend’s favourite makeup brand?

Me: well I’m no expert on make up. That’s obvious. So I’m going to say it’s that yellow chapstick that’s always in her purse 😂 she loves that chapstick.

L: Well.. No make up brand of course but I’d love to see him in Miranda’s lipstick 😂

6. What is something that annoys you about the other person?

Me: we don’t do enough stuff together! Also, WHY DO U HATE MIRANDS WHYYY

L:He always contradicts me😤😤

7. If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would it be?

Me: I really want us to go to the Universal Harry Potter Parks! We’re both huge Potterheads. We’d have SO much fun.

L:England. Or Scotland. Visit JK Rowling maybe

8. Favourite inside joke?

Me: we don’t have many… She once told me a story about her young brother and it’s so silly but also hilarious and every time we mention it I can’t help but laugh.

L:We don’t have a specific one. But we always relate everything we see or hear to something in Harry Potter which makes us laugh stupidly

9. My best friend looks beautiful when ________

Me: definitely when she laughs. I think everyone who looks happy looks beautiful!

L:-he’s angry. He usually gets angry out the blue and starts shouting at everyone.

10. Your best friend’s favourite season?

Me: I’m pretty sure it’s winter. She’s literally always praying that it starts raining. Also, she loves coziness, and frankly who doesn’t?!

L:He prefers summer. Ugh i hate it

Wait wait wait wait wait wait. WAIT. I LOVE SUMMER?! What kind of best friend are you even.

11. If your best friend has a scar, how did they get it?

Me: she once fell on her bike when she was 10 and it caused major problems. Now it’s 6 years later and I can’t see any scars, but she does. That’d haunt me too if it it happened to me.

L:He doesn’t have any scar

12. What is it like being best friends with a blogger?

Me:Hmm, lilz, why didn’t you answer this one? I’ll do it for you: EXHAUSTING. She must have had it with my stupid blog But you love it, right?

So that was the first part of the collab! I’ll post the second sometime soon. Hope you enjoyed this!

12 Collabs of Christmas – DAY #5 – Instrumental Book Tag! (Ft. Keira)

For today I’m going to be posting a tag that I have came up with, together with Keira (and it was mostly her effort), which is the Instrumental Book Tag. We have been planning a collab for months but I saved it for this project, which is awesome!

The tag is simple, there are different instruments and each is associated with a different type of book. The usual book tag 🙂 it was quite fun to prepare.
So here it is:

Keira’s answers are pink

My answers are green

Hope we’ll keep you reading off the screen 🙂

Piano- a classic you love

Watership Down by Richard Adams. Or The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge. I honestly have a really difficult time choosing between them. But if I had to, it would be Watership Down, just based on how many times I’ve read it. It is heartwarming, thrilling and an interesting perspective (I mean, the main character is a rabbit).

I consider Harry Potter a classic, no matter what you have to say (whoops). So obviously that. But if I had to chose a ‘classic’ classic, it’ll be Les Misérables by Victor Hugo.

Keyboard- a retelling of a famous story

The Princess Curse by Merrie Haskell. It is a retelling of a lot of different fairy tales: The Twelve Dancing Princesses and Persephone being the most obvious. This is a standalone but I wish it weren’t- I want to read more about these characters!!!!!

I DON’T KNOW!! What does this mean?! I don’t know any retellings!

OHH! Can I pick Miranda Sings’ retelling of the Story of Christmas? If anything’s the best, it’s that.

Guitar- a popular book you love
Well, this is an obvious one: Harry Potter. Enough said.

Since that’s the obvious answer, I’ll try to think of something else.

That was not easy.

The Fault in Our Stars I guess?

Cello- a book that gave you chills

So many! Let’s go with Stolen by Lucy Christopher- chills in the good way. I was sobbing for ages afterwards.

It’s honestly THE best. And it freaked the freak out of me.

Voice- a book with a unique writing style

The Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. When a book has things crossed out, it is obviously unique.

According to someone (winkwink), it’s A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I haven’t read it yet but I’ve seen a couple of pages and it really is unique.

Triangle- a book that you don’t like to mention reading

Um…. well, maybe Twilight. But only because people are so judgmental! Sure, they are not the best books (the main series I don’t particularly like, but the new gender-flipped one I liked a lot more) but judging others based on a book is just stupid.
First of all, why Triangle?! Oh wait it’s my tag whoops.

I don’t think I’ve read many embarrassing books. Maybe in mychildhood? Yeah, that’s probably it. I used to read girl magazines like WITCH because there literally were no magazines for boys except comics. I also read kids books.

So that was our tag! Hope you enjoyed it 😀 this is just the first part (as with most of the collabs in this project), so expect part 2 on Keira’s blog sometime soon!

I tag all music and book lovers to do this tag. Have fun!

12 Collabs of Christmas – DAY #2 – My First Time Tag! (Ft. mydailyinkling)

Hello! We’re back with day #2 of 12 Collabs of Christmas!
Today I’m with mydailyinkling, and this is the second part of our ‘My First Time Tag’! You can check out the first part on her blog by clicking here.

Let’s go:

16. First favorite book

mydailyinkling: My first ever favorite book that I remember was the Junie B. Jones series. I used to read every book and at least twice.

Me: my first favorite book was Sans Famille by Hector Malot. I was about 8-9 when I read it and it was just wow.

17. First character you wanted to marry

mdi: The first character I remember wanting to marry (in a tv show) was Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible. I used to think that I would marry him and it made me really jealous of Kim Possible. However, I also wanted to be Kim Possible, so I was really faced with quite the predicament when I was 6.

Me: Hermione then, Hermione now.

18. First time you failed in class

mdi: I never actually “failed” a class. I didn’t do well for a long period of time in a few classes, but I never failed. The one time I do remember not doing so well was in the third grade. According to my parents, I apparently almost failed but the only reason they didn’t hold me back was because I was switching schools.

Me: neither did I! I was always a top student. My grade never went lower than 15.6, and that’s on my worst. However, I do remember some minor failures in small tests. I once got 5/10 on arabic dictation in around 4th-5th grade, and even though I passed I was crying in the way home. So pathetic I know.

19. First award/honour received

mdi: When I was in the third grade, I was a cheerleader. The very first award/trophy I received was a little cheerleader trophy from that year. I was one of the best on the team and they gave me a trophy for it. I was so proud of my 6 year old self.

Me: our school does something very cute where they make a graduation ceremony when we finish kindergarten (yep, we’re in the same school from kindergarten till senior year). So I guess my first honour was this certificate:

20. First country you visited outside your own

mdi: I have, unfortunately, never been outside of the country. I really hope to visit Nicaragua with my nana and do a mission trip with her soon. I really want to go to Australia, also.

Me: SAME. I want to visit pretty much the whole world. France, the UK, Australia, the US, Spain, Italy… One can only dream.

21. First time you lost your parents in a store

mdi: I don’t particularly remember loosing my parents in a store, like the first time it happened. However, there’s a joke between my parents and I about Target. See, somehow, every time we go into Target, my step-mom always ends up getting separated from my dad and I. We spend a good majority of our time there just looking for her. So we try to keep a close tab on her when we go.

Me: I don’t really remember the first time either, but I do remember that it happened more than once. One time I vividly remember is when I panicked and went through all the isles and asked strangers and I was just a kid. As usual, that lasted for about 15 seconds.

22. First time someone you know died and affected you

mdi: I just lost my grandfather less than a year ago. He was the first one I knew in my family to pass away. I called him bop-bop and he was my step-dad’s step-father. He and I weren’t particularly close or anything, but I did love him. I’m still getting used to just saying nanny instead of nanny and bop-bop.

Me: I remember when I lost my grandpa, so vividly. I remember being at his house with my cousins just a day before and not having a clue, I remember my dad telling me the next morning while I was still in my bed, I remember seeing mom on the couch, not crying, just sitting there with the saddest if smiles. I remember then seeing glimpses of her hysterically sobbing in my grandma’s kitchen while my other grandma tried to pull me out of the mourning house and take my mind off everything.

I just don’t remember saying goodbye, because I never did.

23. First thing you do in the morning

mdi: The very first thing I do when I wake up is turn off my stupid alarm. But then I usually come out and sit on the couch for about 10 minutes and fall back asleep. Then I’ll wake up again and grab my phone. I usually sit on my phone for about an hour or so before I finally start school work (cause I do online school; so I get up at 8 and start at 9).

Me: go back to sleep.

23. First test & grade you’ve had this semester

mdi: First test of the semester was a test I took in Spanish and I made an 85% B.

Me: I think it was a math test and I got 10/10. THAT DID NOT REPEPAT ITSELF FOR THE REST OF MY MATHS TESTS.

24. First time you met an online friend in real life

mdi: I have never met an online friend in real life. I’ve never gotten too close to my online friends, simply because I’m not allowed to have social media.

Me: me neither. There aren’t even many people to meet, you just kinda feel like you know everyone. Also, I think it’d be super awkward because obviously I am (this isn’t a very awkward blog for nothing).

25. First phone you broke

mdi: I got my first phone at 13, an iPhone 4. I had it for three years and never dropped it one time and then my step-mom dropped it and it shattered the screen, only about 6 months ago.mIt still worked, though. And then I took it on a road trip with me during the summer and I dropped it in a red solo cup of Dr. Pepper… But I also just cracked my new phone really bad a few weeks ago. I’m getting it fixed this weekend.

Me: I never broke a phone, but I assisted to many breakings. One of the most notorious is when we were like 7 and we had just gotten a new phone and my little sister tried to look inside the screen. Literally INSIDE it. I don’t think details are necessary here. Let’s just say we had to throw the phone away afterwards.

26. First social media account

mdi: My biological mom let me have a MySpace when I was about 7… Bad parental mistake on her part, but it didn’t matter cause I never used it. Then my biological dad and my step-mom let me have a Facebook but that only last about a day before they decided I still wasn’t old enough. Then at 13, when I got my iPhone, they let me have an Instagram that only last about 2 months. And now I’m social media-less…..

Me: I think it’s Facebook. I was 8. Literally all my friends had facebook at 8. Parents had no idea back then of the dangers of the internet, because quite frankly we had JUST found out about the internet and it was the cool new thing (we’re talking Lebanon here. It’s a miracle we got internet before our twenties).

27. First thing you ever googled

mdi: I don’t remember, oddly enough. It was probably something like Ron Stoppable’s age or something, haha. Or like, cute free puppies in [state name]. I really don’t know but I’m sure it wasn’t “How to conquer the world in three easy steps.”

Me: people know that? I really don’t remember. It must have been ‘games’, though. Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was games. I’m also pretty sure I was so amazed that there were so many games online and even thought it was a prank at first.

28. First time you won something

mdi:Hmmm… I probably won like a Minnie Mouse at a fair or something? I don’t know.

Me: um… Who knows. I was very cute so I probably won people’s hearts when I was a baby.

29. First blog post

mdi: My first blog post was an introduction to my blog, lol. My second one was my attempt at writing a short story. I didn’t really get into “blogging” until recently. My first couple posts were writing and such. I didn’t start blogging until September, and I started my blog in July.

Me: it was on the 27th of July, a day after my birthday. The post was actually written the day before, but I didn’t even have my blog yet. I was just so pissed off at everyone at the time and thought ‘this is it. I need to blog.’ You could still read it I guess.

30. First time you got on stage and had your own role

mdi: I did dance when I was 9-11 and I only danced in about 5 recitals. But, I never had a solo. We were working on a duet with a younger friend of mine before I had to move. I was so looking forward to that duet because after a duet, you typically got a solo if you’re good enough. And I. Wanted. That. Solo. But I never got one.

Me: we all participate in year-end dances in kindergarten so I guess it was then. I also got a narrator role when I was in grade 2. And then last year I said two of my poems in a poetic night. But the first time to perform in a play/sketch is THIS MONDAY AAARGHH ME AND MY FRIEND ALONE IM GONNA SCREW UP.

Yas that was it! Thank you for reading 🙂 and since this is a tag let’s tag some people:

My Tiny Obsessions

And lots more of you but I have tons of work to do and can’t be bothered to tag everyone because I’m bad like that
(So basically everyone is tagged. Yes yes even you fortunate peasant)

Hope you enjoyed that and that you’ll do the tag 😀 See you tomorrow!

Soundtrack To My Life Tag!

Hello! So today I was supposed to post my ‘Liebster Award’ post that I have been postponing for ever, but unfortunately I have been very busy. Yesterday we moved from our summer home to our winter one, and I had so much to unpack and organize. To top it all off, SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW! I literally have nothing done. I’m worried. Also, I really don’t want to go back to school. AND I have no wifi and no 3G so I have no idea how I’ll be posting this, but I’ll find a way. I always do.

Anyway, since I can’t post the award today, I’ll just post this nice tag I found online a while ago (I’m really sorry I don’t remember the source) that has been sitting in my draft list in case of emergency (like this one).

So here we go 🙂

Song you listen to when you’re happy?
#GETITRIGHT – Miley Cyrus

Song you listen to when you’re sad?
Grand Piano – Nicki Minaj (weird right)

What song will you have at your wedding?
Style – Taylor Swift

What song do you dance around the house to?
Chikini Chameli – Agneepath (incredibly catchy Indian song)

Song you play on your headphones when out and about?
Literally anything, but if I had to pick it would be The Night Is Still Young by Nicki Minaj.

Song you listen to when you’re angry?
When I’m angry I usually am in no mood for music.

Song you’d have at your funeral?
Lady Gaga Epic Megamix (just because when I first heard it, I thought this is the song I want for my funeral). Also, Pity Party by Melanie Martinez because it’s awesome and it would probably creep everyone out at the funeral.

Song that makes you lose your shit at a party?
Get Low – DJ Snake (this is based purely on my expectation. I’ve never been to a party for that to actually happen so I wouldn’t really know.)

The last song you listened to?
The Love Club – Lorde

Your karaoke song?
Shake it Off – Taylor Swift (and pretty much everything else by Taylor Swift.)

What song do you work out/exercise to?
Baby Got Back – Sir Mix-a-Lot

Song with the most memories attached?
Applause – Lady Gaga (my first ever anticipated release.)

Song that makes you cry?
Lily’s Theme – Deathly Hallows Soundtrack (yep. Everything about that movie makes me weep.)

Song you hate the most?
Every single scout chant that my sisters belt out every five seconds. I can hardly think of anything that makes me want to kill myself more.

Your favourite song of all time?
Bad Romance – Lady Gaga. The best. Ever.

Fin \(^o^)/

This was the tag, hope it was entertaining!

I’ll tag a few music-lovers:

One Lovely Blog Award!

I was nominated for the “One Lovely Blog” award by Vivy Potter. Thank you so much! This is my first award ohmagash I’m so flattered :’)

The rules are as follows:
* Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
* Add the One Lovely Blog logo to your post.
* Share 7 facts/or things about yourself.
* Nominate about 15 bloggers you admire and inform nominees by commenting on their blog.

So I’ll now try to think about some facts about me that aren’t too boring or too strange. That’s gonna be easy…

Okay so here they are:

1- Despite me being a socially awkward teenager now, I was such a devil child when I was, well, a child. I pooped all over the floor, broke everyone’s possessions, bit guests on the forehead… In other words, I wouldn’t have qualified for this particular award back then.

2-I read my first english book around one year ago. I haven’t read anything in any other language since then.

3-I’m in love with Hermione Granger and want us to have children. Fuck Ron.

4-I’m watching Goblet of Fire at this very moment, and my little cousin HAS NOT STOPPED TALKING SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE MOVIE. Gosh.

5-I could never ignore someone. I feel like replying is the minimum level of politeness. If someone ignores me I get seriously offended.

7-I’m also in love with Miranda Sings from Youtube and wish I could be her. And I’m so jealous of Colleen’s husband Josh because he’s so lucky to have her and I cried during their wedding video (both tears of joy and sadness).

8-I’m a rebel and I don’t care if the rules say 7 facts, I’m giving you 8.

9-What? Got a problem with that? Here’s 9. You’re welcome.

This was it! My first award :’) I would like to thank… The judges for picking me… My parents who I love… I love you Houston!

(If you got that Beyonce reference, you’re cool. I dig u bro.)

Time for me to nominate 15 Lovely Blogs. There are plenty, so I am going to pick them randomly from my dashboard (I’m sorry if you have been nominated already!)

gxxdbyeagony (

Rei (

Rogan (

fibit (

mattherlives (

Louis Medici (

zentaurius (

Are these 15 already? I don’t know. Seems like enough to me.

Thank you for reading, let me know if you accept the award! 🙂

Ultimate Harry Potter Book Tag!

I found this tag yet again on (what great tags she has) and I really wanted to do it because I can go on for days about Harry Potter (as you can tell by the majority of my posts). Hiwigow!

Disclaimer: I have previously done the Harry Potter Book Tag, but it has other questions. If there are any similar questions, I’ll either skip them and link to that post or change the answer if convenient.

1. Favourite Book?

Last time I said Order of the Phoenix, and that was before I reread it. Now… I’m not sure. I sure enjoyed it but I have a feeling that I’ll enjoy the two following books even more. We’ll see!

2. Least favourite book?

I was wrong, Goblet of Fire is actually pretty awesome. And now this question is literally impossible. None of them are bad. I don’t have a least favorite. Movin’ on.

3. Favourite movie?

Same. Always.

4. Least favourite movie?

I’ll have to say Chamber of Secrets, because of the number of times I’ve already seen it, even before knowing about Harry Potter. There’s just something about it.

5. Favourite quote?

One of my favorites from when I read the 6th book in french was when Hermione suggested that the Prince could be a girl. And Harry said ‘Tu connais beaucoup de filles qui sont princes?’ and it just made me laugh so hard (ah, simple times). I’m not sure if it translates the same in English but it means ‘Do you know a lot of girls who are prince?’

There’s also a lot of funny ones that I like, like the one about the fly Harry was summoning “but maybe the fly was just stupid”.

But since everyone loves the serious quotes and all, my favorite would be Dumbledore saying that humans love to go after the things that hurt them the most a.k.a money and eternal life in the Philosopher’s Stone.

6. Favourite Weasley?

Forge. Or Gred. I can’t chose one.

7. Favourite female character?

Hermione of course! But after rereading the 5th I really like Luna too.

8. Favourite villain?

Umbridge. I’m sorry. Hate me. I’d absolutely hate her in real life, but she just seems so bitchy and shady and ugh she slays.

9. Favourite male character?

It’s between Snape and Dumbledore. They both have their quirks. Dumbledore’s way of speech is amusing but also sometimes irks me, so imma say Snape.

10. Favourite professor?

Trelwaney. Again, unpopular opinion but she just cracks me up. AND let us not forget that if it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t even have a story! No prophecy, no Boy who Lived, no Come to Die.

11. Would you rather a) wash Snape’s hair or b) spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself?

I wouldn’t stand Lockhart talking about himself. So I chose Snape, maybe I can get him a new haircut, or maybe like a makeover, and he’d be hip and cool… Nah, just kidding. If I could do that I’d do it to myself.

12. Would you rather duel a) an elated Bellatrix or b) an angry Molly?

Who in their right mind would duel Bellatrix?! Even if she’s elated (and by that I’m guessing you mean high on weed), she’s still an evil maniac. Molly wouldn’t hurt me that much (well except if I were coming for her daughter, you bitch).

13. Would you rather travel to Hogwarts via the Hogwarts express or flying car?

Aside from the trolley, the train is just a train. But a flying car!! Who’d say no to that!?

14. Would you rather kiss Voldemort or give Umbridge a bubble bath?

For nothing on earth would I want to see Umbridge naked. So I’ll kiss Voldy, endure a couple of second’s disgust and terror, then it’d be over. And my eyes would be closed so that I wouldn’t be eternally scarred like in the other scenario.

15. Would you rather ride a Hippogriff or a Firebolt?

Neither really, because 1) an eagle headed flying lion sounds terrifying and 2) I do not fancy holding a wooden stick up my butt for who knows how long.

16. Is there any character that you felt differently about in the movies?

Dumbledore is so serious and all in the latter movies. Like no bitch make jokes and stuff.

Also I felt like Umbridge was kind of nicer in the movies and not as repulsive. Who else… Ron wasn’t nearly as funny as in the books, and I felt the twins’ jokes were a bit forced. However, Draco, Snape, Hagrid, McGo, all on fleek.

17. Is there a movie you preffered to the book?

No way. Never. They’re already two completely different things but no.

18. Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?

I don’t know, Gambon looks more hip and Dumbledorey while Harris is more of a Santa Claus, but his serenity is what I imagine the real Dumbledore to be like.

19. Your top thing (person or event) that wasn’t in the movie that you wanted there the most?

I really wanted to see the Other Minister and Will and Won’t chapters in the 6th (the one where Fudge talks to the Muggle Prime Minister and the one where Dumbledore goes to the Dursley’s. Priceless.) Also, more Dobby!

20. If you could remake any of the movies which would it be?

I’d want to change the Voldemort death scene in DH part 2 but the movie is already perfect enough so I’ll leave it. Maybe the 6th? To include the scenes I already talked about…

21. Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be a part of?

I really don’t remember! But I know that it must have been Ravenclaw, and I still feel the same. I feel smart enough to belong there, and I’d be delighted to be in the company of people like Luna.

22. Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottermore?

I had two accounts, for passsord-forgetting reasons. In the first one I was sorted into Ravenclaw and was quite pleased with myself, but then one or two years later it sorted me into Gryffindor! I really don’t think I’m what you’d call ‘brave’! But I guess I’m loyal to my friends… Meh. It’s still good.

23. Which class would be your favourite?

I feel like Charms could be fun, but I also love cooking up stuff and Potions sound wonderful (I don’t really see how someone could fuck up clear instructions… But then again the same could be said about food recipes).

24. Which spell do you think would be the most useful to learn?

I can only pick one?!

I guess for the sake of my muggle belongings, Reparo. But I would also love to use Silencio on a number of people. And Wingardium Leviosa is like so iconic. And Accio would be so useful and time saving… Gahhh!

25. Which character do you think you’d instantly become friends with?

Hermione! We’d be more than friends. She’d be all over me. I share the same mindset, I’d fully support S.P.E.W, I’d study with her… Harry and Ron are such jerks to her sometimes.

26. If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?

It depends on whether owning a wand makes me a Wizard. If so, I’d have no trouble chosing the Elder Wand because then I’d be able to do the most powerful magic and I’d go straight to Wizard Heaven or whatever when I die and see everyone and whisper behind the veil. But if I’d just be a muggle with a wooden stick, then definitely the Resurrection Stone so I could just talk with anyone I lost and make some friends talk to their deceased loved ones (I’m thinking of a girl in my class who’s mom is in an almost-dead state after a car accident and I feel so bad for her).

27. Is there any aspect of the books you’d want to change?

First off, I’m annoyed with the way the second through fourth books seem to try to re-explain notions from the first books that we all know by heart by now. I know it’s for new readers but like no.

I’d also change the epilogue for something less fairytaley.

28. Favourite Marauder?

Moony all the way.

29. If you could bring one character back to life, who would it be?

Ugh, Fred of course! He’s still alive for me anyway. He can’t have! (in fact, the only fanfic that I ever wrote – and that I’ll start posting here weekly soon – is about him and George. Nothing twincesty, though, don’t worry.)

30. Hallows or Horcruxes?

Who’d want Horcruxes?!

Like I can’t believe anyone would want to become what Voldemort has become in the Albanian forest. Or was it just his case? Do others who have only one Horcruxe just continue living normally? In that case… Wait no wtf I’d have to kill someone no no no. Plus Hallows are like the most badass objects ever. They’re like permanent life power-ups. Who wouldn’t want those?!

Aaaaaand that’s it! Well, that took long enough…. But it was really fun nevertheless.

I nominate any hardcore Potterhead for this tag. Have fun with it!

Reading Habits Tag!

Hello baes.

I have stumbled upon this nice book tag on this awesome blog (check it out!), so I thought I’d do it too since I haven’t posted in a while (I want to continue working on my Potterviewster series but I’m too lazy right now)

So here we go:

1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

I usually read on my bed, in various and often weird positions. I can still read wherever I want but it’s not as comfortable.

2. Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I used to make my own bookmarks with cards and stuff but last year a girl in my class had like a box of bookmark stickers that you just stick on the page wherever you stop and take them off easily and reuse them… So i nicked one and I’ve been using it ever since (I’m also surprised by how durable they are, mine’s still being used after almost a year and it’s still sticky).

 3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop at the end of a chapter / after a certain amount of pages?

I have several self-set rules for that…

First off, any actual reading session should last for at least 30 pages, the average being 50. Anything under that is weak.

Second, I may only stop reading at the end of sections inside chapters, a.k.a where there’s a blank line or where there are the little stars (you know, these *** in the middle). Stopping in the middle of a paragraph is only acceptable in case of emergency.

And lastly, at the end of every reading session a page check is mandatory. If I find that there are 10 or less pages left until the next chapter, I have to continue reading and finish what I started.

4. Do you eat or drink while reading?

I have no problem drink-reading, because it’s quite simple. As for eating, if it’s a chocolate bar or a sandwich, then yes. If it’s a plate, or anything requiring more than one hand, I always try to make it work by flattening the book if possible or leaning it against something, but I usually fail and either eat hastily or just leave the food.

5. Multitasking: music or TV whilst reading?

No way. TV is just too annoying and distracting, and so is music, but to a lesser extent. Like I can listen to music and read, especially if it’s instrumentals or calm songs, but I usually become too invested in the music and start humming and singing so I just like to do everything by itself.

6. One book at a time or several on the go?

Is that even possible? Do people actually do that?

Oh wow. I never considered this.

Maybe it could allow me to read more in a shorter period of time!

But I don’t think so. The prospect is alarming. I don’t like the idea of giving my attention to two or more stories at a time, so I don’t get confused. Even when I finish a book I leave a 1-2 day ‘withdrawl’ periods (except for series of course).

7. Read at home or everywhere?

As my dearest friend Sheldon once stated…

I mean if it were socially acceptable (where Iive) for a 16 year old boy to carry a book around, I would do it all the time. But I want to avoid awkward stares so I’ll just leave reading for home (except for ebooks because no one would know).

8. Read aloud or silently in your head?

I usually read silently, but I recently discovered that I thoroughly enjoy reading Harry Potter dialogues out loud. I’ve got special accents for everyone, and it’s just so fun to try to talk british!

9. Do you read ahead or skip pages?

I never skip pages, even if I’ve already read the book or know what happens (well except for particularly boring prologues). But I do have the unfortunate habit of reading ahead a few lines, especially if it’s the end of the chapter, and I get so pissed off at myself and become disoriented. (That’s why with books like the Hunger Games I put my phone or something on the bottom of the page and glide it as I read).

10. Breaking the spine or keeping it new?

I always do my best to conserve the spines, that’s why I prefer unbendable ones, but I usually end up messing them up and folds appear so I just go what the heck and bend them.

11. Do you write in books?

In school books, obviously (just ask a certain friend of mine… He’s – ahem – ‘decorated’ all my books with quite interesting drawings).

In normal books, I try to conserve their original aspect as much as I can so no. I do wish I could scribble on my Harry Potter copies and highlight quotes and favorite moments but I just can’t bring myself to do it!

Dassit 🙂

I nominate every bookworm out there, this was fun.

See ya!

Q&A Tag!

Today I’m gonna do the Q&A tag/challenge; I was nominated by gxxdbyeagony to do it (this is my first nomination ever aaaa :’) thanku ) and here are the rules:

Respond and rework; answer the questions and replace one you ‘dislike’ with a question of your own.Tag 3 or more people to do this tag.

Let’s get to your qwastshanss (god I miss colleen’s corner so much)

1.What is your favourite book/series?

It’s basically plastered all over my blog, Harry Potter of course!

2. What song is your ringtone?

Currently, Sex Yeah instrumental by Marina and the Diamonds. I usually use intrumentals to avoid weird stares.

3. What are you wearing today?

I’ve been wearing jeans and a tshirt everyday for about 4 years now. (not the same ones of course. I’m not a vagrant.)

4. Hair?

What do you mean, “Hair”? Do I have hair? Is that your question? Do you have a favorite hair? Do you support hair rights?

I’ll just assume you’re asking what my hair looks like.

Since I’m no expert at hair description I’ll just show you a pic I took at the hairdresser right after I got my haircut (it’s now much flatter but meh)

5. Your favourite thing in the world?

Are you kidding? I can’t chose. I’d hurt other things’ feelings.

6. What is the last thing you ate?

I had eggs and some sort of greasy meat for breakfast.

7. What is something you’d like to learn?

Piano. But it’s too late.

8. What’s for dinner today?

It’s too early to ask.

9. What are you listening to right now?

Unison by Björk (she’s by far the most mystical, whimsical thing I have ever laid ears on).

10. Favourite colour?

Between Aqua Blue and Cyan.

11. What weird talents do you have?

I do not consider this weird or a talent at all, but everyone around me thinks that it’s mind blowing how I can read books. You heard me. Just the fact of reading is astonishing. Smh.

12. Most challenging goal right now?

To not end up alone and miserable 😀 And to publish a book somewhere in the future, it’s one of my biggest dreams but I don’t think I have the guts for it.

13. What can’t you live without?

My phone, music, books, youtube, and of course the internet.

14. How was your childhood?

In my first few years I was quite spoiled, being the first child in both my mom and dad’s families, but then other babies started pouring down and I continued with a normal childhood. Well, if you count reading and making up stories while all the others were playing catch or football ‘normal’…

15. Favourite songs?

Right now, Pity Party by Melanie Martinez. Of all time, it has to go to Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. This song has shaped my taste in music and it was the first one that really struck me (I was about 9-10 when I heard it, I think it was one of the first English songs I knew)

16. If you could have anything in the world in your hand right now what would it be?

It would either be: a) A USB containing all of Lady Gaga’s unreleased songs that have not yet leaked (there must be hundreds) b) Infinite concert tickets for Miranda Sings or Gaga shows c) Ten billion dollars

17. What are you most excited for?

Can I name them all? 1) American Horror Story – Season 5 (starring Gagz) 2) The release of Allie Brosh’s new book because HELLO?! 3) The release of Gaga’s next album because it’s been 3 years gurl come on.

18. What’s your favourite type of music?

Everything with the suffix -pop. Dancepop, dreampop, indiepop, electropop, poppop, etc.

19. If you are in the sky with the birds on the rock with the that, and you do it, then will you?

Ooh what a great question. And the answer is, if you want to do, so take it because of it, but don’t let the meat.

20. Favourite singers/bands?

I’m currently really into Melanie Martinez. Usually my favorites change like monthly, just this year it went from Lana to Sia to Taylor to Rihanna to Marina to Nicki to Beyonce to Britney to whoever else, but my all-time favorite, as you might have guess, is Lady Slayga.

So that was it yaaaaay

I’m going to nominate the first three people who I see on my notification dashboard, let’s see:

Hope you guys are down to do this ^^’ Don’t hesitate to check their blogs out!
