Reader Problems Tag!!

Hello! Today is pretty exciting, I’m having my second concert!! (Well, not exactly a concert like the last, but still a performance) and I’ll be gone all day, however I decided to be a rebel and post this tag I have been nominated to do AGES ago by Keira. Let’s get to it!

You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How do you decided which book to read next?

It’s just luck I guess. Depends on how much I’m excited to read that certain book at that moment. Then once I start, I’ll keep going until I finish.

You’re halfway through a book and just not loving it. Do you quit it or are you committed?

I’d continue it, I guess. It has happened to me to quit reading a book, but it’s only because I’m too busy at that time and never got around to finish it (example: rereading Deathly Hallows last year. Did I quit because it was bad? Hell no! I just was too busy)

The end of the year is coming and you are so close to finishing your goodreads reading challenge but so far way. Do you try and catch up or do you give up?

Lol. I gave up since August.

The covers of a series you love do not match. How do you cope?

SAME.
ME.
My Harry Potter collection is made out of FOUR different editions. It really is frustrating at time, but at others I find the diversity attractive.

Everyone and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

I can always count on my friend who has a strong opinion regarding popular books. You’ve read it? She hates it! (Sorry lilz. Love ya)

You’re reading a book and are about to start crying in public. What do you do?

1) I don’t read in public
2) I don’t cry while reading
So if both happen I guess I’ll cry in public because I’d be happt that I finally cried over a book and idgaf who sees! Wait that makes no sense.

A sequel for a book you loved just came out but you can’t remember what the previous book was about (it’s been a long time). What do you do- do you look up a quick synopsis or re-read the book?

Depends on what I’m feeling. I don’t really do re-reads unlwas it’s Harry Potter or a really short book. If I still have some ideas in mind, I’ll read a quick summary and remember everything.

You do not want anyone borrowing your books. How do you say no when they ask?

Ugh. I’m actually working on that currently! People keep asking me for books and I just can’t say a direct no! I’ll generally make up excuses and stuff. I guess they eventually get that I don’t want to lend my books so they stop asking. But if I trust you and/or if you have lent me a book once before, you have permission to take my books. You’re kewl.

You’ve picked up and put down five books this month. How do you deal with your reading slump?

You tell me! This summer I read all the Harry Potter books up till Half-Blood Prince, but I couldn’t start Deathly Hallows before school began. Result: 3 months later and I’m not even in the middle!! Last year the EXACT SAME THING happened and as I stated I quit reading. I won’t do that again tho. I’ll finish it. I swear.

There are so many new books coming out that you are dying to read. How many do you actually end up buying?

Only those I REALLY need right away and can’t download. For example, Slep-Helf by Miranda Sings. I couldn’t not get it! There’s Career of Evil by Rovert Galbraith (lol jk. It’s Rowling. See what I did there hein hein) that I want to get eventually not atm because I still haven’t even read the Silkworm. Also, when Allie Brosh’s new book comes out I’ll be buying it right away. There’s a ton of other books I want but I just can’t get everything.

After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your bookshelf unread?

In Selp-Helf’s case, just the time it takes to snap a few pics of the book. For other books, it depends on how much I was excited for them, or if I was reading a book already. The oldest book on my (physical) TBR pile has been here for a few weeks less than a year (yep, got it – them, actually – last Christmas). Ugh I can’t wait for Christmas break to devour them all!

Aaaand that was it!! Now off to rehearse aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabye
