Truthwitch Book Tag

*ayo starts playing*

Ohrin Mountains- What is your favourite fictional land?

Westeros. If you read my last post you know I’ve been obsessing over Game of Thrones lately, and IT’S JUST SO INTERESTING EVEN THO THIS IS CHEATING BC I ONLY WATCHED THE SERIES BUT THEY ARE BOOKS SO

Safiya and Iseult’s Friendship- Who is your favourite dynamic duo?

Is this really a question? Who else?

Merik- Which character is the ultimate hunk?

Four, from Divergent. Tris’ vajayjay always semeed to explode around him. Same goes for the fangirls over Theo James.

Kullen- Who is your favourite sidekick?

A tough one… Sidekicks are a tricky business. I would say the Colonel, Miles’ sidekick in Looking for Alaska, was pretty cool.

Aeduan- Who is your favourite mysterious or villainous character?

Jaqen  H’gar from Game of Thrones. I still have no idea just what he is. GoT in general is full of mysterious characters that I’m really excited to dive into as I read the books.

Aether- A book that you can’t stop thinking about?

Back when I read 13 Reasons Why, it clung to my mind for days and days. To be truthful, I don’t remember much of the actual story, I just remember the emotions it sent me through. The TV show is coming out soon and I can’t wait to rediscover the story.

Air- A book that you had low expectations for that completely blew you away?

I have to say Game of Thrones again! I resisted reading this book for ages. My best friend tried to force me but I just could not swallow it. But I gave the show a try, and I was BLOWN. AWAY. And I’m still obsessing over this masterpiece. I’m currently reading and thoroughly enjoying the first book!

Earth- A book that you always go back to?

I’m pretty sure this one’s universal – Harry Goddayum Potter. It feels like more people have reread the books than those who have read it only once.

Fire- A book where the hype spread quickly?

I’ve never heard of a book that got more hype in recent years than Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Many loved it, many hated it, but everyone was talking about it. It was the sequel to a literary phenomenon.

Void- Recommend a scary/mysterious read.

Robert Galbraith’s Cormoran Strike series. (A.K.A J.K. Rowling’s under cover follow up series to Harry Potter). I can only vouch for the first book, the Cuckoo’s Calling, but I’m certain the follow up books are equally as dark, funny, intriguing, creepy, clever and mysterious as this one. It’s such a departure from the magical saga, but it’s no less captivating. A good mystery is one where you find yourself interested in the backstories, not just the identity of the murderer.

Water- Name a book that flowed nicely.

I can’t remember a book flowing as nice as the Philosopher’s stone. There are just no dead moments. Everything was interesting. We didn’t have a prior idea of where the story might take us. There was a steady buildup of events leading up to the ultimate face off. It really is such a well written book. Children literature was SHOOK.

Threadsisters and Threadbrothers- Tag your friends!

I don’t have the nerve to tag anybody since I haven’t been blogging for a long while. Anyone who comes through this, please feel free to do the tag and consider yourself nominated (like I did)!

I have some pretty exciting updates. Really can’t wait to share them 😀 hopefully see you soon!

Sunshine Blogger Award!

Hello, peoplez of the blogz! (what)
Today I’m gonna do an award that I found burried in my drafts. I don’t even remember who nominated me #MESS
I think it was ateenagediaryonline, who apparently has curiously disappeared off the face of the interwebs. I hope she’s alright.
Let’s do this!

The rules are:

Thank the person who nominated you, simple 🙂
Answer the questions from your nominators
Nominate 11 other bloggers and give them 11 new questions to answer

My questions are:

Have you been watching the rugby world cup?
Rugby is a SPORT. Does that answer your question?

Who are you supporting?
I’m supporting myselt #hashtagblessed

What is your favorite thing about autumn?
The weather.

What is your favorite food?
I hate this question and will never be able to answer it because I’m against food discrimination. All foods are created equal. (Except for beans. Fuck you, beans.)

Have you heard 5 Seconds Of Summer’s new album?
Certainly not.

Mustard or ketchup or both?
Ketchup; mustard is too weird for my taste.

Pizza or burgers?

Apple or Windows?
I SAID NO FOO- oh okay. Well I hate Apple and Windows has stuck by me through thick and thin so yeah.
Did you know you can change your colour on your blogs writting?
Huh what how

New Zealand or South Africa?
New Zealand pls.

Are you dressing up for Halloween?
Oh my freaking god did I get nominated for this before last October >_< what a flop. No, I didn’t dress up.

What are you going to get your best friend for christmas?
It’s way too early to decide henny.

That’s it!

I thought that was it but apparently Keira had nominated me too xD (back when she was still known as Rogan) let’s see her questions:

What book would you recommend to a seven year old with a high reading ability?
Matilda, which talks about another kid with high reading abilities (and is such a lovely book)

Hairbrush or comb?
Umm… I can’t remember which is which. Either way I choose the fuzzy wuzzy one that is not like a plastic bar with teeth bc it’s useless

Would you rather be the lawyer for someone who murdered someone or who participated in child trafficking?
What the
I’d be a lawyer I guess because a) there are plenty of those situations and b) I get da monneeh

On a lighter note, what is your favourite season?
HAHAHAHAHA that was funny for some reason xD well, I guess Winter (is Coming)

Duvet or blanket?
What the hell is a Duvet?
I’ll choose it anyway because it sounds super soft.

Painting of sketching?
Painting because I like mixing colors n stuff n making a big mess plus I suck at sketching (ladies and gentlemen, a future architect)

Be able to write a poem or be able to write a book?
I can write a poem. I wanna write a book. I WISH.

Would you rather have the ability to read and comprehend any classic you want, easily, or the ability to stop time whilst reading a classic (NOTE: THIS POWER ONLY APPLIES TO THE READING OF CLASSICS)?
Hmmmmph that is HARD. I think I’ll stick to understanding them because that’d be really cool and also I’d be terrified to fiddle with the fabric of time like that just to read classics.

Non-fiction or Short Story collection?
Non-fiction, but certain kinds.

Black or white?

What Hogwarts house would you be in according to your own opinion of yourself?
Ravenclause, duh :hor:
I mean Ravenclaw
God GGD has ruined me.

Aaaaand that is it! Hopefully I’ll get to write a post every day during break like today.

Oh I have to come up with questions still.

1. What is your favorite Lady Gaga song ever? (Feel free to buy her entire discography and listen twice to make sure you made the right choice.)
2. Would you rather work at a restaurant or a hotel?
3. Omfg electricity just ran out in the entire hotel and we can’t get it to turn back on and lights are flashing everywhere oh god.
4. Whoops that was not a question
5. That one neither
6. I have to stop
7. There, I just spared you from thinking up answers to five questions.
8. Six. You’re welcome.
9. Trump or Hillary?
10. Describe the first time you fell in love in one sentence.
11. Do you like pickles?

I nominate:
Every single person who reads this. You are allllll sunshines! (Plus I can’t tag anyone rn so)
I’m serious tho yall deserve this award so much. Take it. Do it. Post it. This sounds like a commercial.

Goodbaiiii break’s ovah

The School Book Tag!

Hello! The lovely Bella nominated me for the School Book Tag, and I thought it would be a nice breath of fresh air to do this amidst studying for a physics test ^^

The Rules:

Mention the creator of the tag.

Chloe hai guuuurl

Thank the person who nominated you.

This doesn’t need to be a rule at all! It goes without saying, thank you so much Bella for thinking about me ^^

Answer the following with the book that most fits the statement.

Paper Towns- John Green

This was a really difficult one to pick. I don’t feel like there are many books where two characters just clicked together. The closest thing is Harry Potter, but that’s a rare exception because EVERYONE blends well together and complement each other. You couldn’t single out just two people.
So I thought for this one I’d pick Paper Towns, because what’s special about it is that Margo and Quentin, taken separately, aren’t really likeable and interesting in my eyes. But the two of them together, especially in the first part of the book, complement each other really well.

Selp Helf by Miranda

I mean… Do I really need an explanation for this? It’s the most obvious answer. The most perfect creature on earth basically giving you a free coupon for winning life in every aspect. Okay, it’s more of a 19.99$ coupon but it’s basically nothing when you consider all the things it brings you.

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

This book captivated me in all the right ways. I could not put it down – in bed, in class, even between breaks during my theater practice! I have rush-read books before but it just didn’t feel the same because both were on digital format (I’m talking about Insurgent and The Good Girls – both great compelling books). I read it so quickly, not for the sake of fast reading, but because I enjoyed every second of it.

The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling – Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez

I had fun picking this one because every book I think of, a playlist forms in my mind. Every single book has a musical connection. But I picked this one solely because of the theme similarities. Now I still haven’t read this book, I’m looking forward to it in the summer, but it talks about a town that looks pristine from the outside but is rotten and corrupted from the inside – exactly what Dollhouse is about, but with families.

Nominate 3 others to do the tag.

I nominate mahjabeen, GeorgieGrl and lissndani.

#3Days3Quotes Challenge – Day 3!

Hello 🙂
Today is day 3, which means the final day of the 3 Days 3 Quotes challenge. I want to thank Keira -again and yet again!- for nominating me, this has been a really fun challenge. Kept me updated with the blogging worlds and stuffs wee

Day 1 here
-Too Lazy To Link Day 2-

The Rules:

»Thank the person who nominated you.
»Post a quote for three consecutive days however long it takes
»Nominate three new bloggers each day.

For the final quote I chose a quote from a Lana Del Rey song I adore, called Ride. You can find it on Youtube and take a listen, the video itself is breathtaking.

‘I’m tired of feeling like I’m fucking crazy… I’m tired of driving til I see stars in my eyes’

As much as I like to admit that I’m different, I’m ‘Awkward’, I don’t fit in, I’m strange, I’m crazy, I’d be lying if I said it’s not mentally challenging.
I love how I am, but still, I’m getting tired of not being what society needs me to be. I’m tired of not being into what everyone else seems to be into. I’m tired of looking at other people and always feeling jealous that I don’t get to have a normal life, or whatever it is they have that I feel I lack.
Why do I have to be like this? What would have happened if I just gave in and tried to do the things I’m supposed to do, like the things I’m supposed to like, act the way I’m supposed to act…
It’s exhausting. Mentally exhausting.
Am I running away from my thoughts? Am I denying that I’m ‘fucking crazy‘? Will I keep driving and running until I start loosing my mind for good?
Or will I just accept it?

‘And I’ll just ride… I’ll just ride.’

And that concludes our 3 Days 3 Quotes challenge!
I will nominate:

Have fun, thanks for reading and good night!

#3Days3Quotes Challenge – Day 2!

Bonsoirr 😌
Today is day 2 of the 3 Days 3 Quotes challenge that I was tagged to do by the lovely Keira.

Day 1 here

The Rules:

»Thank the person who nominated you.
»Post a quote for three consecutive days however long it takes
»Nominate three new bloggers each day.

Today I chose a quote that you typically wouldn’t find in blog posts like these.
It’s extremely popular in the stan world, but obviously unknown to casual non-crazy people. As the Awkward (Very) Blogger, I felt it’s my duty to introduce this piece of immaculate shade into the blogosphere.
Take it away Mariah:

You can have several seats.
Now if you’re confused as to why this is an iconic quote, let me tell you a nice little tale…
During Mariah Carey and Tommy Mottola’s divorce, he turned real nasty and basically sabotaged her upcoming album. He stole samples and intrumentals and gave them to Jennifer Lopez who included a lot of them in her album which was released before Mariah’s. Because of this mess, Mariah had to rerecord and basically rework her album just weeks before its release, which made an even bigger mess and the album was a disappointment. Mariah did NOT deal well with this, she had a huge breakdown and went into rehab because of it.
The gif/quote is from an interview where the interviewer asked her what she thought about J-Lo – obviously after the incident – and she was basically like ‘who?’
To this day it’s one of pop culture’s finest, shadiest moments and you can still see the phrase ‘I don’t know her’ being used by fanboys everywhere from twitter to tumblr to fan forums whenever someone irrelevant comes into the conversation.
Mariah’s apparently not over this since just last month a paparazzo asked her about J-Lo again and she said with a mocking smile ‘I still don’t know her!’
Ah Mariah. Queen of shade.

That concludes our story, I hope the intense shade didn’t make you feel lost and afraid in this blogging world where everything is love and sunshine and rainbows.

I tag: Luna, Emily and Ruth today. Slay me.

Good night!

#3Days3Quotes Challenge – Day 1!

I was tagged by Keira to do this. Thank you so much!
If any of you happened to be around my blog during last November, you might remember that this is not my first time doing this challenge, and that it ended very, very badly (wait what am I saying why would you remember a random post from my blog dating 6 months lol @ me).

Anyway, I’m glad I got the opportunity to do it again. Hopefully with no twist endings and excessive swearing this time.

So here are the rules:

»Thank the person who nominated you.
»Post a quote for three consecutive days however long it takes
»Nominate three new bloggers each day.

Today I will continue where I left off. As I was planning on posting Harry Potter quotes last time but never got to post them, here’s the first quote:

It is extremely hard to choose from the sea of excellent Harry Potter quotes, but this one has always had a special place in my heart. Maybe because I see it everyday, and try to live by it. Hypocrisy is everywhere; a man will go to huge lengths to please his equals, the people he thinks ‘matter’, but will disregard or belittle anyone he thinks is below his ‘level’. I even see it in high school. How these self-appointed popular jerks (and I say jerks because there are popular kids who are truly friendly and deserve that title) can will themselves to ignore and act as though the rest of their peers don’t exist, I will never understand.

You don’t have to be condescending to make yourself ‘above’ someone. The way some people treat their maids is apalling, and I’m sad to say I know a lot of them. The african maids in my country aren’t even mistreated; they’re not treated. They’re taken care of like a house pet. I always try to just engage them in conversation, talk to them as fellow human beings, because that’s just what they are. Their human lives don’t have ro stop just because they travelled to a different country to earn a modest living.

I’m rambling and maybe straying off topic here, but that issue is close to my heart.

I hope you enjoyed today’s quote!

My nominees are:

Selfie the newly declared Queen
L the self-appointed Joker
Elm the recently demoted Tree

Obviously I had to pick my freshly appointed royal squad. Slay tricks or you get eliminated.

Have a good day! 😀

The Birthstone Book Tag!

The Birthstone Book Tag

Hi 😀 so today I’m gonna be doing this book tag Keira tagged me to do quite recently. It sounds so interesting so let’s see what it’s about!

January- Garnet

Associated with warding off negative forces and dark energies- Name a book with the darkest/evilest character you can think of.

I’m gonna stick with Keira’s answer – Voldemort, obviously! He’s not even evil at this point. He’s beyond evil, as described in the books. The guy split his soul in seven eight!!

February- Amethyst

Purple is associated with royalty- Name a book with regal qualities

I have actually not read any books with royalty so far! So I’ll go with my instinct and say Game of Thrones, which is very popular and apparently features many kings and queens. And sudden deaths. I don’t know if I’ll ever read it though – looks like a hefty task, plus it doesn’t sound like something I’d get into. But who knows!

March- Aquamarine

Washed out- Name a ‘wishy washy’ character, a character who is not strong/ a follower.

I’m digging deep for this one… The obvious choice would be Bella Swan from Twilight because that’s what everyone keeps saying but I want to pick something of my own, not by general concensus. Ginny from Harry Potter isn’t the strongest character on film, but in the books she’s perfect, and this is a book tag, so no.
I think I’ll go with the Divergent characters, especially in Allegiant. Y’all know my grudge against this book. There’s no particular character, everyone just sorta fell flat. Especially Four. Bye gurl, you and your flop POV
OH! Now I remember the answer I was looking for! It’s Linda from Paulo Coelho’s Adultery, or whatever her name was. She’s the main character, and ugh. I couldn’t reach half of the book. One minute she loves her family, the next she’s giving blowjobs to a highschool crush she just interviewed, then she’s in the shower with her husband who’s having fun sticking I’m-glad-I-don’t-remember-what in her hooha, then suddenly she’s depressed, then she wants to cheat and be with the blowjob guy, then she’s being a bitch to his wife, then she’s depressed again… Enough. Get a grip.

April- Diamond

A diamond in the rough- Name a book you loved, but that is not well known.

Interesting one… Let’s go with the Perfectionists by Sara Shepard, I can’t get over how awesome this duology was to read. Go read it! I’d die if she made a spin-off/sequel, it’d work out so well. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be in the works, but she is debuting a new mystery series later this year so I’m pretty thrilled for that!

May- Emerald

Said to balance energy- Name two characters who balance each other well.

I think Colin and Lindsey from An Abundance of Katherines go together very nicely. Their differences complement each other, and I loved their relationship. She broke the Katherine streak!

Side note – I just think it’s so incredible that you could literally find every single character description and type in the Harry Potter series. They’re the first ones that come to mind. It’s so amazing how iconic this series is. Fyi, the ones that came to mind are of course Fred and George. Ugh. It hurts. So bad.

June- Pearl

Associated with loyalty- Name a character who is loyal to the end.

I’m gonna say Chuck, from the first Maze Runner. He was loyal until the end.

July- Ruby

Blood read- Name a book that made your blood boil, one that made you angry.

Okay, I fail. I can’t think of any non-HP book. Flop.
Well it’s obviously The Order of the Phoenix. So many things about this book is anger-inducing, from Harry’s own anger, to Umbridge being a total fucking bitch, to what we all know happened at the end. RAH!

August- Peridot

Pale in comparison- Name a supporting character who you like better than the main character

I’m currently reading Scorch Trials and I can honestly say Thomas is NOT my favorite. I think it’s Newt. So kewt.

September- Sapphire

Blue like the ocean, calming- Name a book that had a calming affect on you.

Thirteen Reasons Why. Definitely. While this book’s purpose is certainly not calming, it was just so good for my soul. I read it right after my exams and I felt cleansed. Took my mind off things. And it transported me into Clay’s head, to the whole story, it was so immersive. Loved it.

October- Opal

Iridescent- Name an iridescent book (beautiful cover, character etc.)

All the books in the Lunar Chronicles series look GORGEOUS! Also, the Cormoran Strike novels by Robert Galbraith (a.k.a J.K. Rowling) all look polished and beautiful as well.

November- Topaz

Associated with resilience- Name a book with a character who rises to the top in a time of adversity.

Every cliché ‘hero’ ever. I honestly wouldn’t be interested in reading such books, just like I’m not interested in watching such movies. Why would I want to read the same fight over and over again knowing who’s always going to come on top?

December- Zircon

Associated with friendship- Name a book with a friendship you want to be a part of. (Tanzanite is the other birthstone for December )

I think it’d be pretty cool to have Quentin, Radar and that honeybunny guy from Paper Towns as friends because tbh they’re not too different from my actual friends and they seem like my bunch. But of course…
I think it’s pretty much common knowledge that the Golden Trio featuring Slayrry, Queenrmione and Riconald Weasley is the squad goal of everyone on this planet. I couldn’t not mention these three. Ugh how I wish I could be there and talk shit about Ron and Harry with my Herminouchette and I could stand up to her when she gets in catfights with those two and I’ll end up with her eventually while Ron goes and fucks himself. Ah…

And on this bittersweet note, I conclude this tag which was very fun to do! Thanks a lot for tagging me Kei, in my turn I tag Selfie, Luna, L (do u even read), Elm (like u do tags lel), Ruth (snap me gurl), Aspen (u 2 gurl) and emily (long time no c!!1)

Hope you enjoyed this 😀 bye!

No, I did not create this.
Seriously! A wonderful genius named Claudia made this and I can’t begin to explain how awesome it is.

I know I have been a total douchebag when it came to blogging awards. I mean at the beginning of the month I said I was going to post awards all month as an ‘Award Season’.

HOWEVER. When I saw this one, I COULDN’T NOT do it. As you might now if you’re not new here, I am the biggest Miranda Sings fan.
Like, I want to BE her. Just ask Elm.
Anyway, I was both thrilled and devastated when I found this award. Thrilled because IT WAS A FRIGGIN MIRANDA SINGS AWARD, and devastated because I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought about it first. And I call myself a bae.
Without further ado (because frankly if I adoed a little more you’d probably skip to the end or just leave), here are the rules:

¤Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who nominated you.
¤Include the featured image on your blog post.
¤Nominate 10 bloggers (or as many as you can think of) and link your awardees in the post.
¤List 7 things you love about yourself (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)
¤Don’t use negative connotation. (I.e. Don’t say things like – I’m prettier than an average person or People have told me I’m smart. You ARE pretty. You ARE smart.)

(Oh yeah, by the way, no one nominated me. I basically nominated myself. This is the true Miranda spirit.)

1. I honestly think I’m better than a lot of people. I can’t believe I’m actually admitting this because that’s probably the most self-centered thing anyone could say, but meh it’s my Miranda post and I’m free to say whatever the BADWORRD I want. But like really. There are people whom I just look at and go ‘thank God I’m me.’

2. I’m not afraid of saying that I’m a feminist, especially in a society like mine. I do not think that I’m superior to girls in any way. And no, I’m not contradicting what I said in my last point (lemme clarify: I didn’t mean it like ‘bitch please am a qwen bow dawn’. It’s more of a ‘I’m thankful for all my blessings [hashtagblessed] and also that I have evolved unlike these primates’. Okay fine I am conceited). Anyway, I treat girls well, respect them and never see them as objects of pleasure. Sadly, girls only seem to want to date and be with guys who treat them like shit.

3. I think I have quite pretty eyes. They’re like a clear, honey-y brown, and my lashes are naturally long and slightly curled. Wish I could say the same about the rest of my features.

4. I love reading, I love learning new things, I love being cultivated, I love music, I love art… That’s one of the things I’m most thankful for. And while I do wish I was a fan of some kind of sports (does dancing count? Because hell yeah!), I’m happy I’m not completely obsessed and my life doesn’t revolve around them.

5. I have a good voice. This one I’m the least sure about and I would have typed it ‘I guess I have an okay voice?’ if Claudia hadn’t forbidden such phrasing in the rules. I mean I’m not bad, since I got accepted in a choir… At least I know how to hit the right notes (I mean, as long as I can reach them) and can carry a tune… So yeah I’m giving myself this one (because well that might surprise you but I’m running out of qualities)

6. I’m pretty smart. I’ve been a top student all my life, and the key to my success is that apart from being smart in the science department (physics, chemistry, biology, maths) only, like the rest of the smarties, I am also quite good when it comes to literary subjects (French and English). They actually are my favorite subjects and I know how to spot an argument and a metaphor just as well as the solution to a math problem (well, most of the time). I’m pretty happy with this.

7. I’m a really caring and loving person. I sometimes wish I had myself as a friend, because I really care so much and invest myself in my friendships. And while at times I find that I don’t receive all that love back, I’m still really glad to have my friends.

That was it! It was easier than I thought. I really feel like you guys are discovering more and more how modest I am. I can’t say I’m really proud of it, but oh well. Deal with it.

Aaaaaanyway, time for my nomeneytshens:

2. mydailyinkling (am doin it yay)
4. Emily
5. Keiraa
6. Hiba
7. crap
8. mahjabeen
9. Luna
10. thatbookshelfbitch
11. Selfie (even though you’re on a break. I couldn’t not)
13. GeorgieGirl
14. Bookwormgirls123
15. Starrlet

That was a bit more than 10 but I really want to know what you guys think about yourselves! ALSO I swear to God the linking process took more time than writing this whole post. Gosh. #notevenkeedin

Anyway, that was it for this award post. I HOPE I’ll do a bit more this February. I mean, if you think about it, Award Season is never truly on before the Oscars and the Grammys, which haven’t happened already, so that’s redeeming.

I just hope I’ll be able to do any blogging at all because of my upcoming mid-year exams! TIME TO STUDAYY

Oh yeah this is still a Miranda post. I should end it accordingly.

so dat wazit 4 tudey guys i hopp u enjoid tis vidyo potst if u lickkit pls gev it a tumbzup and suxcribe or else u didnt. K by.

2016 Reading Challenge (ya rite)

If by any chance, you were once lost on my blog, and in a desperate attempt to leave you accidentally clicked on the wrong link, you might come across this post. But according to my stats that only got 1 view so there’s a really good chance that you didn’t. Great job!

Anyway. That post was about the 2015 Reading Challenge. I was trying to complete it, and, well… See how much I had completed back then?

It’s exactly the same now! Wiiiii

So yeah, I haven’t really read much (AT ALL) these past few months. It’s desolating, I know, but I mean I just -SORRY I REALLY HAVE NO EXCUSE

I really want that to change this year, so I’m gonna be doing the 2016 Challenge!

I can already hear your sneers and ‘ya rites’. Well, I’m kinda doing these too. BUT  I can’t not try!

So currently I am reading both The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Deathly Hallows. Yes. Deathly Hallows. The book I started two months ago, that I promised myself I’d not drop like I did last year.

So now I’m focusing on finishing it, then The Alchemist, and THEN I can get started with my challenge.

If you saw the picture on my 2015 post, you might have noticed that I cheated a bit. By cheated I mean that I ticked off like 5 categories for every book, as long as it fit. Well, I don’t want to do that again!

So I’m going to make a list of all the books i’m going to read this year, and what categories they’ll fit. Of course, I’m missing books from many categories, but that is totally fine for just now because 1) I still haven’t checked the library, 2) there’s the Bookyard where I’ll probably find everything I’m missing and 3) in case I don’t, there’s still BetterWorldBooks. It’s an online shop for buying books of all sorts for very cheap prices and most importantly they have FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE! That’s a deal-breaker for me (and the only reason I can’t shop at any other store because their shipping prices are often higher than the book’s price). I still haven’t tried it because well I’ve never online shopped but I’m definitely willing to give it a try. Well that’s if my parents stop believing that the internet is out to steal their money and finally agree to insert their credit card number. Ugh.

I am therefore going to create a page (here is said page) to start tracking my progress. I hope the odds will be in my favor with this (shameful tasteless reference) and if not, meh. I tried.

12 Collabs of Christmas – DAY #12 – Christmas Picasso Tag! (Ft. ateenagediaryonline)

It finally is Christmas day, which means this is the very last day of this wonderful project we’ve put together. This is the very last tag! I had SO much fun with this.

I don’t want to blab too much (I’ll leave that for later trolololo), so without further ado here’s the Christmas Picasso Tag!

My answers are bold

ateenagediaryonline’s are blue

We really need to get you a nickname

How about Lou?

HeyGuys! For those of you who dont know who I am well let me tell you! I am ateenagediaryonline. I blog about a lot of things from music to recipes to just random stuff! The amazing aVeryAwkwardBlog asked me to do a collab and so of course I said yes! So basically we are doing this drawing thing using the paints app on our computer.

How it goes: there are 6 categories, for each category each of us has to draw the best representation of the thing mentioned, with explanation when necessary. One rule: be as creative as can be!

Let’s go!

Best Santa

Okay so I decided to give him a rounded figure because thats how everyone sees santa right. Then well I just went with the traditional colours.

My santa is a bit unconventional, here’s what I considered when I drew her:

-It’s a girl because well think about it. Santa’s purpose is to keep kids nice to get presents. Well, I think that boys are mostly the ones who are usually naughty, more so than girls. So I think they’ll try to be nicer if they knew it’s a lady who’s visiting to bring them their toys instead of a big fat bearded man. Do you get my point?

-She should be thin, obviously, because the poor reindeers have suffered enough from santa’s dead weight.

-I think she should wear lightbulbs because 1) FASHUN and 2) It’s be easier for planes to spot her and avoid her path when she’s flying in her sleigh.

-A GPS, to know where to go, of course. We don’t want her mixing up presents. Imagine if I got the basketball and my neighbor got the book GAH THE HORROR

-A comfy outfit and shoes. I guess that’s the only thing that doesn’t change. I don’t want her wearing heels! Even if it’s classier, well, she can’t fly around the whole world wearing them, that’s torture.

-Long hair, because I’m guessing it makes her warmer? I’m really concerned about her well being!

Best Christmas Dinner

I mean we have a turkey and potatoes! The traditional irish stuff! I’m irish so yeah.

Let’s see.

The main dish is what I’ve had yesterday and today, and what I think is one of the best things ever. We call it ‘ghamme’ or ‘fweregh’, which, in short, are sheep intestines stuffed with rice and ham. I KNOW, IT SOUNDS DISGUSTING, I KNOW. But honestly, once you try them, especially those made by my grandma, you’d get why I love them so much. Top them with garlic sauce, and gah *_* delicious.

Next to that we have my favorite peach champain, and the top Lebanese traditional dish, Tabbouleh. A meal is never complete without Tabbouleh. It’s basically a tomato and parsley salad, but mixed with green onions, borghol, salt, mint, and olive oil. I can only describe the taste as ‘home’.

We also have some pastry (topped with thym, ham, nutella, hotdogs, meat, or cheese) at the front and hummus at the back (YUMMY HUMMUS). Finally, the traditional christmas dessert, which is Bûche de Noël. It’s basically a wooden-log-shaped cake, associated with christmas and decorated with small christmas artifacts and snow-like edible cream. It’s more like an oversized swiss roll. Délicieux!

Best Snowman

Who doesnt like a zombie snowman. I decided that I didnt want your bog standard snowman so here it is!

I wanted my snowman to feel special. To start off, I replaced his carrot nose by a cucumber, because why not. I also traded his top hat for a matching christmas hat, because he doesn’t have to be a posh old man! Also, instead of sticking the ‘buttons’ down his middle which if you think about it is horrible, I gave him a very cute little blue jacket. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! You might have noticed the fancy lining of the jacket, well wonder no more! These are anti-melting bars. They stop the snowman from melting! Isn’t this awesome? Such a genius I am. Someone text Olaf.

Best Tree

Lights and tinsel thats all you need on a christmas tree really!

My tree is white (come on, I know it’s gray but I couldn’t draw white on white) because the other day I saw a white tree through a window and I just went WOW. I tried to recreate it as much as I can. Of course, there had to be something different, so I made the baubles chocolate! That way when you’re feeling hungry you could just snatch one up and munch it. Plus, you can buy new ones every year, and not worry about packing and all that exhausting stuff! And the gifts are there because no christmas tree is complete without gifts, duh.

Best Outfit

I just went for a basic dress because I mean who doesnt wear a nice sequin number over the holidays! That would be me anyways!

I couldn’t really come up with a perfect outfit so I just drew what I wore myself today. A blazer, a shirt and pants, their colors just as in this picture. I think I looked smokin’. And modest, too. And sarcastic.

Best present

I mean isnt this how everyone sees the perfect present! I know I do.

I think the picture speaks for itself.

Okay I know my art skills of the paint app are pretty bad (oh shushhh) but I had fun struggling to get it right! Thanks to AveryAwkwardBlog for letting me be on his blog!
